Bloody marys: you're either a lover or a hater. There is no in between. I, for the record, am a lover. Maybe it's because it's an alcoholic drink that can also double as a meal? Or maybe it's because I feel somewhat healthy getting my nutrients in because I'm basically drinking tomato juice? Bloody marys are always that happy medium. I'm not going to drink a beer at 10:00am because that would be absolutely crazy and frowned upon. But give me a bloody mary, and let's get this party started.
What I love about the QC is that we take our food and drinks very seriously. That being said, I have had some pretty amazing bloody marys here in the QC. Unfortunately, I have NOT tried all of the best. But I HAVE tried many incredible ones that I am excited to share with you all! Following my list of my favorite bloody marys, I have compiled a list of what my Instagram followers responded when I asked their favorite bloody marys in the QC!
If you know a delicious bloody mary that I missed on the list, send me a message! I love trying new things and letting the QC know about them!
Cheers!

Circle Tap - Davenport, Iowa (1345 West Locust Street)
If you're an Iowa football fan, you've heard of "Big Ass Turkey Legs." Well, get ready for Circle Tap's "Big Ass Bloody Mary." A dive-bar feel, great outdoor patio, oh, and did I mention that my parents MET at Circle Tap! Quite the love story if you ask me. I've been going here for quite some time, and I still remember ordering Shirley Temples at the bar with my dad. Sunday is their big bloody mary day. "Big Ass Bloody Marys" are sold in a huge take-home plastic cup with aaallllll the fixin's.
Radicle Effects - Rock Island, Illinois (1340 31st Street)
Two words: garlic-infused vodka. Yes, you read that correctly. The vodka used in the bloody marys at Radicle Effects is infused with a house-made garlic vinaigrette adding the perfect amount of spice and flavor, making this drink a TRUE chef's kiss.
The Ridge - Davenport, Iowa (4750 Utica Ridge)
To me, a good bloody mary has the perfect amount of balance between savory and spice. I am a HUGE Zing Zang fan, and when I found out that the The Ridge does NOT use this bloody mary mix, I was shocked. Instead, The Ridge uses Bloody Revolution Ribeye, and holy cow was I impressed with this mix. In addition, The Ridge is very generous with their toppings, adding in meat, pickles, cheese, olives, and a side of a domestic beer.
Maloney's Pub - Eldridge, Iowa (239 North 2nd Street)
Because I love over-the-top things. The last Sunday of every month, Maloney's Pub sells GINORMOUS bloody marys in a mason jar full of fried chicken, donuts, shrimp, olives, bacon-wrapped cheese curds, and SO MUCH MORE. Pictured below is the smaller option (I know, I couldn't believe that there was a bigger one either). I saw someone from another table order the bigger one, and there was in fact, a piece of chocolate cake hanging out of it. I was full for the rest of the day after this one!
